Everybody Matters Podcast: Simon Sinek and Bob Chapman

It was Simon Sinek who coined the term “Truly Human Leadership.”

Simon and I became fast friends when we first met years ago. Recently, he generously offered to write the foreword to my and Raj Sisodia’s book, Everybody Matters: The Extraordinary Power of Caring For Your People Like Family. He is a significant voice and one of our most important allies in spreading our message.

I am always profoundly affected by our thoughtful conversations and, this week, I again had the pleasure to sit down and talk with Simon. We recorded the conversation to share with you on the Everybody Matters podcast.

Truly Human Leadership is found throughout Barry-Wehmiller Companies, where Bob Chapman is Chairman and CEO. A $3+ billion global capital equipment and engineering consulting firm, Barry-Wehmiller’s 12,000 team members are united around a common belief: we can use the power of business to build a better world. Chapman explores that idea in his Wall Street Journal best-selling book, Everybody Matters: The Extraordinary Power of Caring For Your People Like Family, available from Penguin Random House.

This was one of my favorite episodes. Both Bob Chapman and Simon Sinek are brilliant leaders and their books share emotional stories that share specific ideas and strategies that you can use in any position of leadership.
Thank you for a great episode!

  • David Sauter says:

Excellent, I saw you speak on Servant Leadership a few years back. I have adjusted to Serving and Teaching Leadership, this podcast reinforced my belief in that. We are trying every day to live this out in our organization. The three books I ask everyone to read are Start with Why – Simon, Getting Naked – Lencioni and The Serving Leader – Stahl-Wert and Jennings. Keep on keepin’ on! God Bless, David

  • David says:

This was one of the best discussions I’ve heard in a long time. It’s always audio gold when these two have their conversations recorded and this was no exception. Thanks so much for providing the knowledge and hope for a better future.
