Everybody Matters Podcast: Richard Sheridan

Richard Sheridan is joyful person.

Rich is the CEO and Chief Storyteller of Menlo Innovations, a company that builds custom software, whose mission is to “end human suffering in the world as it relates to technology.”  Like Barry-Wehmiller, Menlo has a unique culture which they want to share with the world.  We call it Truly Human Leadership, they call it “the business value of joy.”

A number of us from Barry-Wehmiller spent some time with Rich at Menlo last year. He is a sincere, wonderful guy with infectious enthusiasm. His book, Joy Inc., is an endearing account of how he created a joy-filled workplace.

This week’s episode of the Everybody Matters podcast features a conversation with Rich about joy, Menlo’s culture, building great teams and his ongoing leadership journey.

Thank you. I visited Menlo and it is like he said and like his book. It truly is authentic. I want this where I work. I heard Rich say to start with myself and I am learning and experimenting. I have learned where I work that unless Management is committed to it – it will not happen. Any advice?
